Lady Anne Blunt was English, passionated by the purebred Arabian horse. She had lived for a long time in Egypt and crossed the desert, with her husband Wilfrid, looking for the best Arabian horses. In 1878, she started importations to her stud farm Crabbet Park in England. Amongst the first Arabians imported from the desert to Crabbet Park appeared the mares DAJANIEH, QUEEN OF SHEBA, RODONIA which had a very good descendance. |

In 1880, Lady Blunt bought, after the death of Ali Pasha Shérif who was at the time the most important pure Arabian horses "collector", few horses of a very good quality, including the stallion MESAOUD (sire of the stallion ASTRALED out of Queen of Sheba) which influence had been extremely important around the world. |

Lady Wentworth, daughter of Lady Blunt, would take over and maintain the finest quality's tradition of Crabbet Park, buying Skowronek in Poland. Crabbet Park would then be taken
over by M. Cecil Covey, manager of the stud, who would be forced to sell
most of the horses. |
