Europeen people learned to understand and appreciate
horse species through many successive invasions they suffered. Arabian
horses, in particular : these small horses that had been bred lovingly and
intelligently for many centuries by the Bedouins rapidly intrigued and
then seducted Spain (and later France) because of their war abilities,
their extreme mobility and their rapidity.Crusaders had many times the
opportunity to discover to their cost the fantastic quality of these
